Team Rango | Z-Files Mini Site

.:. Our Story .:.

When I was about 7, me and a group of about 20 friends were obsessed with Pokemon. That's all we would talk about. We got into a conflict between two of those groups. It was a team of about 17 people, and a team of 3. I was one of the three. The 17 decided to become Team Aqua, and we decided to fight back and be Team Magma. I was 2nd in command, and loved it (for a while). Then Magma started having stupid rules, so I quit. Aqua BEGGED me to come to them, but I refused, because I wanted to be leader. I was just a lone trainer for a while. Then, I thought of Team Rango! The conflict kept going between Magma and Aqua, but I soon stopped it, and convinced both teams to stop, and join us. It was great, no fights, and a lot of fun. Then... I MOVED AWAY!

Team Rango was forgotten, and I went on with life. A few years later (in forth grade), I met a new group of people who were obsessed with Pokemon, at the time, I hated it (I cant figure out why). They got me back into it, and we formed a club that anyone we knew that liked pokemon could join. We called it "Team Go-Getters" (We copied off the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Cartoon). One day, out of the blue, I remembered it, and we changed the name to Team Rango! Later on that year, we had a lot of people join Team Rango. In fifth grade, they, pretty much, all didnt like Pokemon anymore. Only the original people (Me, Cody Blair, and Josh Salyer), and two other people (Alex Bailey, and Michael Miranda) were still in. In fifth grade, we didn't really do anything note-worthy in Team Rango. Actually, for a few months, it was nearly forgotten!

Then, all of the sudden, Team Rango came back! We made Team Rango a MySpace and a YouTube. We talked about making videos for months, but never could because we didn't have a video camera and didn't know how to work Windows Movie Maker. In sixth grade, Cody moved away, Josh wasn't allowed to even like Pokemon, Michael seemed to drift away from Pokemon, and Alex drifted away, too. Everything was looking down for Team Rango. One day, Cody said he didn't like Pokemon, either! I thought that Team Rango would be over forever! On March 12, 2009, Cody told me about a website called Webs.com. He said you could make a free website! The next day, I decided to give it a try! On March 13, 2009, the Team Rango website was born! The next day, after looking at the website, Cody came to his senses and started liking Pokemon again! That day, he decided to make the Rango Fansite. About a month after I made the site, I learned HTML, and made a HTML site, instead of a Webs template. We had a really bad layout at the time, and when we were rejected by another site because of the layout, we decided that it was high-time to make a new one.

We made a layout, which was blue, and themed it around Swampert and Empoleon. That wasn't too good of a layout, either. So, I decided to make another layout! This layout was the biggest FAIL ever for me! It hurt everyone's eyes (including mine) and also gave CDB Water a major headache. We kept that layout for around 3 hours... that's how bad it was! The layout I made to replace that was a Garchomp layout. It was a pretty good layout and the best banner I had ever made (at the time). I loved it! Then, around that time, I decided I needed to make a section of the site dedicated to the Z-Files. I called it the Z-Files Mini Site (Which is where you are right now!)! I made the layout in about 2 hours and I was pretty proudof it at the time. However, in wasn't themed around any Pokemon! The site began growing bigger, and bigger! We kept on adding more pages, and updating really regularly. CDB Water kept nagging me to get a style switcher, but at the time I wasn't smart enough.

Eventually, I got tired of webs.com and decided I deserved a better host! First, I applied from pkmnnation.com, but was DENIED, then I asked many other sites. Lastly, I discovered that pokemonfan.net had a hosting service! I applied for their hosting, and was ACCEPTED!!! I am really glad I got their hosting, anyway! They have a Control Panel that no other Pokemon fansite's hosting has on the internet (that I know of). They are the best host within the Pokemon community by far! After we got hosted by them, I added many new staff members, including CDB Water, Computer Geek, and wishjirachi. They helped me a lot! Then, with the help of wishjirachi, we FINALLY got a style switcher (Thank God because CDB Water was nagging me to death!)! We added a Gyarados style, and thought it was amazing! Eventually, I got some more staff members (including Keanno, Mightyena858, etc.) they also helped out! Mightyena858 made a new banner for the Garchomp layout (which I loved at the time), and Keanno made a Darkrai banner which I am still amazed by today every time I look at it! I made a Darkrai style out of it!

The site just kept getting more popular, getting more views, and overall, getting much, much better! We kept getting new affiliates, working harder, etc. We added more layouts, and much more! We were creating new pages all the time, including Team Rango Missions! I am very proud of that! They are games with a lot of humor, but are pretty simple. I kept getting a LOT of positive feedback on those! After that, I added a new layout (which I sometimes actually use instead of the Gyarados layout and the Darkrai layout) I am very proud of it! It is the Rayquaza layout! It couldn't be as good as it is without wishjirachi's help with the background! Thanks, WJ!
