Rango Day
How It Began
In 2006 or 2007, I met Cody Blair (A.K.A. CDB Water) and Josh Salyer (A.K.A. Weird kid who doesn't work on the site XD). We formed Rango (If you want the background on that, check the Our Story page)! It was a hot spring day and school in the 4th grade was just about over. The big end-of-the-year test was over and we were hardly doing any work in school.
The school had gotten Blue Grass musicians to play in the field outside (Yes, my school didn't have a playground XD). We spent almost half the day out there. Everyone that was in Team Rango at the time was out there and we were all talking about Pokemon, and everything about Pokemon! We were having such a great time in fact, we named that day Rango Day! I have no idea what month that was even in!
The next year, in 5th grade, CDB Water was going to move away. It was a Friday and we had a field trip that day. We went to see some type of play (whatever it was, it was boring)! Then we went to Pizza Hut and everyone got sick! We didn't believe CDB that he was going to move at first, but later that day, he convinced us... We all felt really sad and we all thought it was his last day at our school. D': We decided to make him feel better, we would move Rango Day from whatever day it was on, to December 16th. On this day, every year we would name a new Rango Legend and he was the first. (Don't ask what a Rango Legend is... I will make a page about it sooner or later!) Yes, he was the first! Even before me, the owner of Team Rango! Oh, and CDB Water did not move... just clearing that up!
From Then Until Now
Nothing much has happened with Rango Day from then until now. In 6th grade, I inducted my friend, Alex Bailey who didn't even like Pokemon very much at the time... he ended up getting kicked out of the legends a few months later. Continuing on, this year (2009) is going to be the best year for Rango Day so far! With a website, we can celebrate with every Pokemon fan in the world, not just ourselves! To celebrate, we will be releasing a lot of content, 3 new layouts for the style switcher (on the main site), starting a chain of new tutorials on graphics, etc. Sothat is all for this year, this page will be updated on each Rango Day! So be sure to check back on December 16th of each year!
